Pontine Theatre presents a host of New Vaudeville performers at its Annual ZEST FEST New Vaudeville Festival. Each show features a different exciting performer. ZEST FEST features family-friendly shows sure to delight audiences of all ages with magic, mirth, and mayhem. This year’s lineup includes:
December 27 - Bryson Lang
Bryson Lang is a Comedy-Manipulator. He takes both ordinary and out-of-the-ordinary objects and literally spins them into a visual tapestry in a distinctive and dynamic way.
At Bryson’s show you’ll see: flying sombreros, sharp sickles, huge spinning rings, upside down bounce-juggling, giant beach balls, glo-in-the-dark objects, a tennis racquet and always a few surprises. The Press of Atlantic City said, “…quick-witted comedy with mind-blowing juggling skills, Bryson Lang's act is a sight to behold!”
December 28 - The YoYo Show
John Higby is the Yo-Yo Guy! He has performed his unique high-energy comedy yo-yo show in 26 countries from New Zealand to Japan, holds the world yo-yo champion title and 4 Guinness World Records. He has been featured on David Letterman, Discovery Channel's Time Warp, Comedy Central, The Guinness World Record Show, Fetch with Ruff Ruffman on PBS, and even has his own Topps trading card! ESPN magazine coined him "Unsung Hero" of 2008. The Yo-Yo Guy is an interactive performance with yo-yos, unicycle, and a giant yo-yo that John walks on! Specializing in family shows, this show is great for all ages!
December 29 - BJ Hickman
A regular entertainer at Hollywood’s Magic Castle, and a New England favorite, magician BJ Hickman keeps people entertained at festivals, art centers, theaters and special events throughout New England and presentations throughout the United States.
BJ Hickman has been called “a master of the double-take and one who connects with wonderful audience rapport.” His comedy, audience participation one-man magic sjow is suitable for audiecnes of all ages. People enjoy his dazzling deception, mind reading miracles, silly surprises and sleight of hand.
