Pontine's touring program brings the company to a state-wide and regional audience. This season Pontine will feature several plays from its repertoire that have special appeal for New England audiences: CORNISH CASTLES, an original play based on the life and works of illustrator Maxfield Parrish; OUR TOWN, a unique two-person adaptation of Thornton Wilder's classic portrait of small-town New Hampshire life which features a cast of Bunraku-style puppets; THE COUNTRY OF THE POINTED FIRS, based on Sarah Orne Jewett's masterful portrait of 19th century maritime Maine; JOURNEY TO HEAVEN: The Shaker Way, drawn from writings by members of Shaker communities; and DEARLY EARNED, an original play based on the lives and experiences of 19th century New England textile workers.

In addition to public performances, the company also offers workshops, assembly programs for public schools, and community residency programs.

Fee support is available to presenters through the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts (Touring Program and Arts in Education Program) and the New England Foundation for the Arts.
